Not So Super Sunday

Well, Super Sunday hasn't been all that super so far. Russia won, Canada lost. It doesn't really matter who wins the Sweden-Finland game. I guess I should cheer for Sweden because of the Red Wing connection.

This was a pretty low key day. I woke up way too early (again) and hung around here for a while before going to mass at Holy Rosary Cathedral. I had remembered going there in 2000 and there was a great little sandwich shop across the road from it, Suzette's. But unfortunately it wasn't open today.

I walked by the Royal Canadian Mint Pavilion where you can see the medals up close, but there was a FIVE HOUR WAIT. The lines in this city are crazy! I'll have to go early I guess. I came back near Yaletown and had some lunch at Urban Fare, the grocery store close to their building. After I ate I came back to watch the end of the Russia-Czech game and have been here ever since.

The Canada-USA game was a let down. It was fun to watch, Matt and Heather had a few friends over, including Tom Dunne, who is in town for the Olympics with Bell. I'm just taking it easy now. The lack of sleep is getting to me. And I am still a bit stuffy, but the Cold FX seems to be working. So hopefully I'll be better tomorrow or the next day. No big plans for tomorrow. I'll hopefully be able to have a decent night's sleep. We'll see what the day brings.
