Day 6 Recap

I went to LiveCity Yaletown this morning, it took about 40 minutes to get in and there were a few different pavilions. I went to the Panasonic Pavilion first. They had a 3D TV in there which was pretty impressive. The pictures seemed to come right off the screen, although I don't know if I would want to wear those glasses all the time. But they showed clips from the Opening Ceremony in 3D and one of the hockey games, and they seemed pretty cool.

I lined up for the Coca-Cola Pavilion next. That was a bit of a lineup but it was cool to get in there. They had a lot of Coke memorabilia from past Olympics and a few different torches. They also gave out Coke in a commemorative bottle. It was kind of annoying to hear the phrase "Open Happiness!!!" every few seconds though.

Then I stopped by the Samsung Pavilion. There was a lot of cool technology in there. They had a camera that took you picture and there was a large screen with all the pictures up on it. This is mine below, the picture itself and then on the big screen.

I headed back to the apartment shortly after and hung out here for a while. When Matt and Heather came back we headed down to the other LiveCity location to check it out. There was a Canada Pavilion and a Manitoba Pavilion. There were some cool exhibits inside the Canada Pavilion. After a while we headed to dinner at Moxie's and came back to watch Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir win gold in ice dancing! What a performance. We also played Wii for a while and I have now decided that I need to get one. I think it's a good idea, it'll make me more active ;) I'll have more up tomorrow!
