Day 2 recap

I feel like I need to do two different entries because yesterday was jam packed and exciting. I honestly feel like I could go home right now and be completely satisfied.

I got up yesterday and Heather and I walked down to the Bay, where the Olympic Megastore is. It opens at 9AM and by 9:05 there was a line stretching out the door, down the street, and around the block. Luckily for us, there is a smaller Olympic store on the 6th floor where they have a lot of international stuff. I managed to get a few pairs of mittens and was out of there relatively quickly. The international clothing is pretty cool, as you can see below.

Then we went on a walk to some other points of interest. We hit Granville Street where we bought a few more souvenirs. Then Robson Square, which was jam packed. They have a free zip line going over the street, but there was a 6 hour wait in line!! I didn't want to do it that bad. Then we went by down by the waterfront and saw the cauldron, which is surrounded by a chain link fence, but we got a few nice pictures.

Then it was off to Gastown (one of the few places I remember from my last visit) where the German Fan Fest is located. We both had some bratwurst, it was delicious.

Then we walked back to the apartment so that Heather could get ready for her shift at Hockey House and I could go in search of something to do in the afternoon...
