Atlantic Canada House

After waiting in line for two and a half hours, I did not get into the food tasting at Atlantic Canada House. 120 is capacity. Guess what number I was? 121. Rotted doesn't begin to describe it. I didn't really care about the food all that much. I just wanted to see what they had in there. And the security guy was an idiot. Someone asked him what was in there, he said "Not much, people from Atlantic Canada probably think it's better than it actually is." If he hadn't been about 70 years old I might have went off on him.

They finally did let us in to have a look. For all the money they spent, I'm not going to lie, the idiot security guard was right. There wasn't a whole lot in there. There was a little booth from MUN, one from the RNC, and a few travel brochures. "Atlantic Canada Conference Room" might have been more appropriate. I thought they could have had a better display of tourist information. I didn't pay much attention to what the other provinces had in there, but there's was just as small too. Next to the room I was in was the Atlantic Bar, which I figure was probably more popular than the food tasting. The liquor authorities shipped out different beers and spirits from the four provinces. And there was a theatre next door with a little musical about the four provinces. But overall, I wasn't all that impressed with the way it was set up. There wasn't much information telling people where to go or what they were lining up for. It could have been done much better in my opinion.

I headed off to the Women's Gold Medal Curling game after I left Granville Island. I'll post the pictures from that later.
